Life can pass you in a car

All pictures taken by me: crossing railroad tracks with homes, kids, babies and normal everyday life in the slum.

family of 5 begging for anything

yes trains come down these two (count them) tracks everyday and yes kids get killed

pay attention to how much room is given to the front doors of the houses on the side

can you imagine what that must sound like in the middle of the night

these kids would come up to stop cars and beg for anything food, money, water

children alone to beg all day and all night on the streets with no shoes

Thinking about life

Posted in 1 on 12:36p08 by Joey Green Training

What is someones worth, no one knows till they are gone right? Well I was thinking about why we work at our jobs and why people want us to work there. I told someone lately when you achieve something too soon does that dismiss the value of the achievement, for me the answer is yes. To be the best at something and achieve it and then completely get disinterested in it and for the past week that is how I have been with being a 10,000 dollar a month trainer. Now lets clear something up I don’t make 10,000 dollars a month I sell 10,000 a month in training. I don’t make a single penny for doing it either, does that not sound right? Think about it, sell ten grand a not make a dime of it. I know what is wrong with with the globo gyms of the world no service the one thing everyone of them promise. COMING SOON GUERRILLA FITNESS INVASION!!!!!!!!!! To all my clients lets make this month full of bad ass boxing training and to all my Boot Camp Warriors fight against traditional training and standout in as the elite of Bally’s.

My Story

Posted in 1 on 12:36p08 by Joey Green Training

I am a certified personal trainer, conditioning coach and USA Boxing Coach. I specialize in Boxing and metabolic training. So what the hell is metabolic training, it is simply the fastest way to reach you to your goals as a client seeking to lose that last 10-20 lbs. . Big thanks to Team DRIPP, Big E, SIOB Records, FightCrohns, and to all my clients and all your hard work day in and day out!!

My story starts in 2001 in a doctor office with the words ” You have Crohn’s Diease”. I will remember the next four words the doctor said more than the first four words”There is no cure!”. That day I started fighting not always winning but fighting. 2002 2003 2004 all were years I had surgery. After my last surgery Iweighed 117lbs

FightCrohns began with me at home thinking how I would overcome the impossible, cure myself of Crohn’s disease. FightCrohns is nothing more than my fight and my inspiration to others fighting against the impossible odds of Crohns.

How do I fight crohns I first take no meds and that is my own choice just because I know my body and the meds were not doing me any good. I use fitness as my medicine and rock climbing, boxing, MMA as my therapy. I want to encourage everyone with IBD, crohns or colitis seek out great doctors you will need it.

I work every day to be better than the day before. Does it always work hell no and most days I just try and get though the day. I do always put in 1-2 workouts of the day in and push myself to be the best I can be day by day. Crohns can make your life a living hell just ask any one with crohns. I came to the fact in 2004 that life was going to be over as knew it. I was in fact ready to die. My life was a living hell and the pain was overwhelming I would pass out in my van at work and throw up so much out my van window the stomach acid messed up the paint on the door. I had 100 percent blockage at the were the small intestines meets the large intestines. After 3 weeks in the hospital and having my third surgery in as many years. I was one my way to do one thing, never get like that every again to fight back every day and always a never forget that things today are not promised but earned with hard work.

With all the things that are going on with my life right now I just wanted to take some time and talk about my inspiration for living day to day , my son Dylan. I love being a dad every part of it there is nothing that gives me more pleasure than just being with my son. To day we are going to go spend the entire day going to the water park then go to Going Bonkers and after that just hang out and go shopping for some toys. I love toys as much as Dylan. Dylan has shown me so much about myself and what love is. He is also the main inspiration for me fighting crohns and depression. I love you Dylan.

Why we love fighting

Posted in 1 on 12:36p07 by Joey Green Training

It’s simple. I think everyone wants to be a bad ass and able to hold their own in any fight put up against you and this is always true in everyones life. One way or another you will be in a fight in your life.

The best thing about fighting is there is one winner and one loser and it is up to you to decide what you are going to be!  Fighting crohns is the biggest fight I could ever be in. People will never understand how hard my life can be day in and day out. My disease is one of stress and surprise. Stress is my main trigger and then surprise… after 3 yrs, my first major flare up. To think, after all, I beat crohns is funny.. you really have to laugh. Just think that I want to fight a disease that has no cure and affects both mind and body in ways that 99 percent of the people in the world would never wish. It’s their worst enemy; Lets face it, you have to suffer a long time with crohns disease and deal with depression and pain.

So, why do we love fighting? Because in the in, you win or lose, and there are no excuses. So shut up and train. I work 6 days a week and train 6 days a week. Do I want to work less and train less? Fuck yeah, but really, this is what I have to do.. To Fight Crohns. When I train 4 days a week, I only work out 2-3 times at about a level 5 but when I work out 6 days a week I have about 8-12 work outs at level 8-10 that I have to do with or demo a workout for them. What is on the post is how I train my people. If you don’t like it, then don’t do it. I want people that will do what the say they will do and the rest, I will take care of. My clients know that they will be pushed and expect to get results. As of today, I finished with over ten thousand dollars in new business and I was the top trainer in DFW; And really, I don’t care the fact that I now have a new squad of clients in my second month at this gym. It shows that being different and training different works any where and that it is not about the money.. it is about what people know they are going to get in return. Do I think I am the top trainer? Fuck no and the only opponent that can defeat me in a fight is myself! I train too damn hard for too damn long to know myself in intense situations. I rise above when it is all on the line. I have been ready to die along time ago, so pain and death don’t scare me. What is scary is that to live with crohns, the average person has to take 16-50+ medications a day to maintain a quality of life. I urge all people to educate themselves about crohns disease and talk to me about how to help. FightCrohns!
